The Flip Side

Our very own Halloween kitty, who was not happy that we wouldn't let her outside.  I explained that a black kitty on halloween needed to stay safe and sound with her mama...she kinda sorta got it.

After.  The.  Party.

Even. Worse.

M suggested just selling the house and starting over with a clean one.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

Everyone left by 1am and M and I spent close to another hour sitting in the backyard candlelight, drinking wine and listening to whatever that amazing mix of music he had put together.

I really, really like him.

Brian had fun and got loads of candy, Alex went to a sleep over at a friends (after I talked to the mother, who assured me that they would be IN the house) and Matthew made an appearance at our party on the way to his party.  

The food was eaten, the wine was drunkin' (is that a word?) and candy was consumed.  We had quite a few over whom I didn't know, so it was a great time to sit and talk.  And laugh.  There's some mighty funny people at M's school...

So, all in all...a success.

This morning is one of those mornings...and today is one of those days.  Soccer in one town (M will take Brian), basketball in another ( I am going with Alex), a neighborhood game party this afternoon (I am bringing Bingo AND prizes.....candy, anyone?), Matthew's wind orchestra concert at 6pm (strange time, don't 'cha think?) and then we are taking him and a bunch of friends for pizza at Nick's.

And that's our Saturday.

I've already cleaned the kitchen (just couldn't do it last night) and M has loaded up bags of debris from the backyard.  The 1st load of laundry is in the dryer and I am very, very thankful for Advil.  VERY Thankful.
