Well, it took 3 hours out of my day, but the $164 jay-walking ticket got reduced to $88.
I was hoping for a total dismissal, but that's OK.
It was eye-opening. There are an awful lot of unlicensed, uninsured drivers on the streets of my county, that's for sure.
Scary.
Dropped Alex off at school and met my friend Maria for a date shake and a walk on the beach. It's hard to beat living in paradise.

Tonight at 5:30pm, the Beavers play (what I am hoping will be) their 1st and final play-off game. Alex and I will be there cheering Brian on. After, we'll hit 'taco tuesday' at Del Taco....something we traditionally do when the papa bear is out of town. Which he is. So we'll do.
It's rather chilly today....mid 60's, so I am off to work in the garden!
Unlicensed drivers? Speaking of that, last week a driver was picking a child from school. She blew through the stop sign and ignored the crossing guard (kids were in the street). After being noticed, she stopped in the middle of the intersection, then tried to back up! I guess the police were called, and she didn't even have a valid driver's license. Gee, I haven't seen that car at school for a few days. :)
