I Take It Back

OK....I know I said I was going to spend the whole day at home.

In my jammies.

But I changed my mind.

=0)

I just ate the most delicious coffee cake that a neighbor brought over and if I had know how yummy it was, I wouldn't have answered the door. Because sadly, I want to eat the WHOLE thing.

There are quite a few things that must get taken care of today, such as laundry. And floor sweeping. And under the boys bed clean out.

But instead, we're meeting some friends at the dollar theater for a movie and lunch. A packed from home lunch, thankyouverymuch, cuz we spent waaaaaay too much money yesterday. Anyway, the kids will be watching Alvin and the Chipmunks and the moms will be next door watching Juno.

And Alex just informed me that it is now $1.50 and not $1.00. Wow. That might change everything.

Our name came up in the American Idol ticket lottery...actually, for the 2nd time this season. We had tickets to a top 18 show at the small theatre and we now have tickets to tonight's (or this afternoon's) Idol Gives Back. If we show up today, we get free tickets for tomorrow nights elimination show.

Unfortunately, there is no way M can get away...we'd have to be in LA at 12:30pm and it shoots until 9:30pm. And then back tomorrow. It's the boys Spring Break and I don't want to leave them plus M is knee deep in Bach. Still. So, we'll pass this time around.

The whole lottery thing is fun because you get free tickets, but you have to be ready to go at the drop of the hat. And our hat is not dropping this week.

I have not watched last night's show yet, but I saw a blurb on my opening screen that my Simon loved my Jason.

Life is good.

  1. Was the coffee cake as good as flop?? Now you'll have to explain to all your friends what flop is.

  2. My Matt would have loved the tickets! I saw Taylor Swift in the audience, and he loves her (especially since she's only 17) I'm wondering if my sister is still drooling over 17 yr old David A? Andrew likes David C, and I don't have a favorite this year. Last year I loved Melinda - too bad she hasn't gotten a record deal.

  3. Wait a second...I'm watching American Idols Gives Back (wouldn't miss it, I totally cried when I watched last year) and you're at the taping???? I am jealous and wish that your house wasn't just full of boys and I was along for the adventure. I expect lots of pictures...please.

  4. You could maybe go to Idol sometime?! Wow! I just got back from handbell choir practice and it's now 10:00 p.m., so I'll have to watch my tape of Idol Gives Back tomorrow night. Jason was great last night. He's really a cutie...he reminds me of one of Kate and Liz's friends....
I've had a lot of luck with ticket lotteries, so maybe I should put my name in. Of course, I'm halfway across the country, so that could be a problem. Kate and I have won the lottery for front row Wicked tickets at least half a dozen times. When our name gets drawn, we pay $25 each for front row seats...and the surrounding seats all sell for $125. The lottery and ticket sales are still going strong 3 years later. If you haven't seen it yet in LA, you have to go!
