Hay

Drove my clean car to my favorite pumpkin patch near our house, parked and watched as farmer John brought out my hay and cornstalks.

OK, so my car was not really clean and John is as much a farmer as I am, but he waits for me every October 1st to come get my stuff.

This year I had an extra bale...for my next door neighbor, Sheila.  No problem until I had to unload them from my car...those puppies are heavy.

Mopped the floor and then dropped a huge unopened bottle of million dollar Kefir.  Arghh.

Isn't that how it always works?  Clean floor = disaster waiting to happen.
Pizza...loaded with stuff just like my boys like it.
Pizza for me...sauceless, please.  Soooo yummy.
The temps have dropped and it is still warm, but manageable warm.  I did my Meals on Wheels run, lunched with Josephine and ran to an unfinished wood store looking for a kitchen island.  Once again I know exactly what I want and will find it when I am meant to find it...and no luck today.  Makes my checking account happy.

=0)

Brian has soccer this afternoon but other than that, it'll be pretty quiet.  Supper is a toss up at this point...either shrimp scampi with linguine or pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe.  I should probably decide soon...

  1. Unloading the car with hay bales? That's what boys are for. :)

I should send you my recipe for homemade pizza. Make the crust in the bread machine & homemade sauce. Then you can add whatever toppings you like. Or in my case, make a plain cheese pizza, and one with pepperoni.

Go Cubs! (it was WAY too depressing to watch last night)
