Today.
Today, Brian went to the lagoon with friends from school, Alex hung out with KeKe, Matthew dealt with tornado warnings in Michigan (and competed tonight in Toledo, Ohio), and M and I ditched our lovely, plastic covered home for a movie.
We saw Swing Vote, which we both really liked...and came home to a hole-less ceiling. And yes, if you've been here before we just did custom ceilings 4 years ago and yes, because of the remodel, we had to have them completely redone.
Lovely, not, but necessary.
We are sleeping here while the work is being done. We are attempting to not be grumpy while we are sleeping here while the work is being done. We are kinda sorta succeeding at not being grumpy while we are sleeping here while the work is being done.

It's almost time for a big, big, BIG party!!!
If you need to get out tonight, our offer for Ravinia still stands. Itzak Perlman will be playing with the Chicago Symphony under the stars, assuming there are no more tornado warnings again tonight. We can sit and listen to pretty music and forget about how houses (and college-age kids) are a big money pit.
ReplyDelete"pretty music" - must be coming from Wrigley Field. My favorite - "Go, Cubs, Go". Maybe Michele would prefer a good Cubbies game, after all, THIS is the YEAR!!
