Yesterday involved a lunch meeting here (risotto with roasted asparagus), volunteering at Brian's school, a meeting at Alex's school, tea with a friend, and the usual...supper (orange chicken, brown rice, more asparagus) and homework.
We then hit the road (30 miles away) for church, cuz it was Ash Wednesday.
We actually debated not going...yes, church worker families occasionally grumble about having to get out the door, too, but in the end we knew we needed to be there.
And I am glad we did...it was just a great time of worship and fellowship.
On the way home we drove through Arby's for shakes and once home, I headed out for my 40 minute walk. Cuz I added exercise...my girlfriend calls it 40 (minutes) for 40 (days) and it was day 1 of my 40 for 40. And I hadn't made the time yet. On went the shoes and around the lake I went.
Grumpy? Oh yeah. But so glad I made that time. Tonight, my girls and I are going to the gym. And I am REALLY looking forward to that. =0(
You go, girl! Stick with the exercise! I made a resolution to exercise one year ago. I use Leslie Sansone's indoor walking DVDs during inclement weather, and I walk/jog outside when the weather is nice (although that's been months). I have lost 60 pounds in the last year by exercising 6 days a week. Plus I have more energy and feel great. I never thought I'd be wearing little sizes again, but here I am. If I can stick with a program, so can you!
