Let’s face it…I’m the mom of a houseful of boys and this is what I look like most of the time. I’ve been blessed with much and deserving of none of it; but thankful for all of it. A husband who listens. Three boys who make me laugh, cry and pray. A sweet little house on a little street. I write so that someday my boys and their families will know that I was a real person who loved deeply, messed up greatly, forgave easily and most importantly, that I prayed unceasingly for each one of them. For now, though? I’m just ‘Mom, can you get me a sandwich?’ and that’s a pretty OK person to be. =0)
Introducing...My Houseful Of Boys:
Michael. My husband. More often than not referred to as ‘that guy that I like so much’. Church worker. College professor. Loves God. Loves his boys. Loves me.
Matthew
The first born. Ambitious. Somewhat serious. Caring. The boy who made me a mother 28 years ago. Holder of both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree. Drum and Bugle Corps age-out, master bread baker and lover of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Trumpet player extraordinaire who recently moved to another continent (Haikou, China) to teach at a college music conservatory and continue his dream of playing professionally.
Alex
The blond haired, blue eyed, red bearded boy in the middle. At 25 years old, he has a constant twinkle in his eye, a mischievous spring to his step and loves all things fun. He works daily as an electrician for a construction firm, loves working out, the beach, and is a bit overly intense when it comes to Colorado sports teams...just ask him and he'll tell you. This boy of mine loves the art of ink and makes life an adventure.
Brian
The closer…or exclamation point (!) as we like to call him. College Junior who recently turned 20 and is studying abroad in Dublin, Ireland. The chattiest of the bunch without a shy bone in his whole body, he's majoring in Biology/Pre-Med and works weekends as a 2nd mate on a yacht. He dreams of korean bbq and weekends with no homework.
The Cats
Maggie and Mollie. The most perfect girlie cats ever.
The Dog
And our newest addition...Buddy the dog. Yes, another boy to add to the mix.
Tried to call you- I have lost cat stories, all with happy endings.....
