How Embarrassing

I can feel summer winding down and even though the younger boys don't start school until September 10th, Michael has been back for weeks and Matthew moves on campus next Wednesday...though I think he is just about done with all of us and would go today if he could.

I mean, he's been home a whopping 4 days this summer.

I 'officially' start my new job on Monday, so that's when I'll fill you all in about what it is...but today the big outing was doing a drive by with Brian of where I'll be hanging out the some of the time when I am not working from home, which is most of the time. Does that make sense?

But get this.

As you know, I was interviewed and accepted the job and then blogged about my day.

I got an email the next morning from my new boss telling me that she was cut off in the parking lot that day.

And then she said JUST KIDDING...I read your blog.

Oh. My.

Talk about the world standing still.

I keep telling everyone about it and they all get the same horrified expression on their faces before laughing that uncomfortable kind of laugh...and then asking if I still have the job.

Which I do...but thanks for all the support.

And now I would sound like a suck up if I told you she looks like Raquel Welch...which I wanted to put in my post. But didn't. But should've. But didn't.

After Brian and I got home, I received a text from M asking if I wanted to meet him and a mystery guest for lunch at PF Changs, so I threw on a skirt, ordered a pizza for the boys and headed out.

Cuz who would turn down this:

And lunch with Pat!!

Today was her last day in M's office and rather than cry, they decided to eat. And invited me. And I accepted.

So very, very fun! Love you, Pat!!

Matthew is out with friends, Alex has KeKe spending the night and Brian just came in from playing in the neighborhood. I'm going to make some quick baked eggs for supper...the weather is turning and it's actually a little chilly outside and the boys want to play spoons with us.

Can't pass that up.

  1. You mean your new boss read your blog, has read our comments, and still hired you? I thought that my bil, that xerxes guy, would scare everyone away!
