Supper a few nights back for the two teens who live in our little house on our little street. I'm not one who is thrilled by fast food...but sometimes a mom has to do what a mom has to do.
And on this night, the mom needed the drive thru.

There is just something so peaceful about watching the sun take it's last bow before it goes to sleep for the night. While I love the summer, I just don't pay as much attention to the sunsets as I do during the winter months. Not sure why that is...probably because I'm so busy soaking up every moment of daylight in my little garden that I just don't notice.
In between dealing with crazy people and then dealing with even more crazy people (gotta love my job!), I was called out to the kitchen. That guy that I like so much had made some espresso and we stood at the counter and had a 5 minute date which, I must say, felt both very Italian and very grown up.
Love.
Supper (following the night at the drive thru) was a quick pasta...lots of olive oil and garlic and sausage and asparagus and broccoli and red pepper flakes. Not a bite was left, so I am pretty sure they liked it.
I know I did.
My bags are packed and I'm ready to go...taking a little weekend getaway with that guy that I like so much. No boys; just us. Doing something rather crazy, but that's how we roll.
I can't wait.
