It Must Be Fall?

Today is the day.

College football begins today.

Do you know what that means?

It means I have one very, very happy husband.

We try and make it back to CU for a game every fall, but it's just not going to happen this year. Our financial insult-ant (OK...he's really a consultant) has invited us to be alot more prepared for next years college expenses and we've decided to accept his offer. So, we are now poor in preparation of being poor. Makes sense, I guess?

Anyway, one of the things we have scaled back on is our fall football trip, which in all honesty, we couldn't seem to fit in this year because of the boys' schedules. Michael is watching the tailgaters on TV and is longing for his fellow Colorado fans. The flag is hanging outside. His favorite shirt is on. The football is on the couch, waiting to be thrown during half time. And his 3 sons? They're all in bed, sleeping. It's the last Saturday morning of summer vacation!

  1. With Elizabeth in band and color guard, we had to attend most home football games. This is not always pleasant if it is October or November here in Chicago. Now that she is at College (Bradley does not have a football team) and with Kate in Choir, we are looking forward to not attending a single game!
