Last night, 40 some college students crammed into our little house. There was dinner (all 150 meatballs were eaten!), caroling (LOVE my neighbors!), and games (wild white elephant). It was a great group and while I am wondering, like I always do, if my house will ever be put back together, I wouldn't trade it for the world. It's just one of those incredibly fun nights...fun for us and fun for them.
Poor Matthew was submarined with students wanting him to go there next year and there was even roommate talk going on. FYI...it's his last choice school and we are more than OK with that, but it was fun to see how well he would fit in.
This is the 12th year we've done this party and for the last 10 years, I have done the exact same menu. If it works, it works. And it works. The key is lots and lots and lots and lots of food, with all of it done before anyone even arrives. I really like to be a guest at my own party.

The rains stayed away last night and although it was cold, nobody seemed to mind. The heat lamp outside helped and as you can tell by the pictures, everyone fit. It's kind of like loaves and fishes...God seems to make our home big enough to fit all. Pretty cool.
Alex is home with me today...he just needed a day to sleep in and get over this cough that is keeping him up. Amy called in a prescription for him, so I ran out this morning and picked it up. I love, love, love knowing my DR!

Michael has a recital tonight and then lots of finals, which means lots of grading...and then he is done. Done! It's beginning to sound a lot like Christmas...we should probably get a tree soon!
