Supper last night...grilled (over wood chips) pork chops on top of tuscan white beans, with a simple green salad on the side.
Yum.
Yum.
Yum.
We're developing a new routine this school year in regards to church. Brian has to be there 1 1/2 hours before the rest of us, so I've been driving him up (our church is 30 minutes away), dropping him off and then planting myself at Corner Bakery, where I get a good chunk of time to work on my weekly bible study.
The rest of the family then drives up and we all go to church (and then lunch out) together.
And then drive a bunch of cars home.
I'm sure we'll switch it up a bit as we go, but for now this is working pretty well.
Supper tonight is a béchamel lasagne copied (sort of) from my other love, Tyler Florence...he is soooo dreamy.

What's for supper in your house?

What's for dinner, you ask? Today we had lunch at Panera after church, and dinner was filet mignon, baked potato, and steamed fresh green beans.
ReplyDeleteLast night we went to hear Time for Three play with the Elgin Symphony. Before the concert, we went to dinner at the nearby Walnut Speakeasy. It is neighborhood grill modeled after a 1930s prohibition era speakeasy. The bricks and some of the walnut is authentic, removed from demolished buildings from the prohibition era. It turned out to be a nice little place. Mike had their Oktoberfest sausage and sauerkraut special, and I had pulled pork. The food was good and very inexpensive.
Dinner for us was Greg's gourmet cooking--rotissere chicken from the grocery store. We missed you today!!
ReplyDeleteDinner for me is very sad since it's whatever they give me at the calf. I want to come over to your house for dinner. It always looks so good.
